Truth and Dare

I

dare to

become

Me.

The truth will set you free.

Solid edges

Your first cries were soothed with my milk and heartbeat.

Hugs and kisses calmed most else.

Band-aids and bacitracin covered your childhood.

But now you’ve graduated to anguish…

and I cannot stop your tears –

even if I went to the ends of the earth.

The love you’ve lost wasn’t mine to control.

You can only heal yourself now.

I pray that time

and good memories

help you to live with the hurt.

Mass Rehab

The Sunday sermon reminded me of three life lessons I have found to be important and true:

1) Challenges that are thrown our way are designed to see beyond ourselves.

Difficult times help us to find strength and abilities we didn’t know we had.

2) Faith is meant to be lived.

Actively believing and trusting produces patience and peace.

3) Love greatly.

We must be open to love and spread it like wild fire with everyone we meet.

These important lessons make life easier. Push through the struggles, believe in a purpose and spread your gratitude.

Life will be at its best.

 It’s true.

It’s about the journey

I started the day by reaching for my devotional and wondered, how long will it take my current situation to be resolved?

“Your reaction during a period of testing will be revealing. Will you love Him above all else? Will you believe He is who says He is and trust Him to provide for your needs? Will you do what He tells you to do?

If you are fearful and bitter during the process, you delay the blessings God is waiting to rain on you. That’s what the Israelites did, and they wandered around for 40 years on a journey that should have taken just a few weeks. You don’t want to do that.

I don’t. Today my “to do”list will also include patience…and strength.
